Welcome to the Kiwanis Club of Lady Lake. Our club was founded on April 11, 1981, under the principles of Kiwanis International to work for a better quality of life for the children of Lady Lake & surrounding communities. We view our role within the community with a great deal of foresight.
Key aspects in operating our club effectively include:
• Evaluating children’s issues and community needs on an ongoing basis.
• Conduct service projects to respond to the identified needs of the community.
• Maintain an active membership roster of people who have the desire, and ability to serve their community.
• Support other service clubs and organizations in joint projects.
Kiwanians are volunteers changing the world through service to children and communities. Kiwanis members help shelter the homeless, feed the hungry, mentor the disadvantaged, and care for the sick. Kiwanians develop youth as leaders, build playgrounds, raise funds for pediatric research, and much more. No problem is too big or too small. Why? Because working together, members achieve what one person cannot accomplish alone. When you give a child a chance to learn, experience, dream, and succeed, great things happen. As Kiwanis clubs and members, we see it every day! Our members come from various backgrounds including finance, education, health care, etc. with the desire to help children become responsible adults. Membership is simple and inexpensive. One of our current members will recommend you for membership and after submitting your application it will be reviewed by the board. Once approved, our membership fee is $140 per year which includes a subscription to the official Kiwanis International magazine, insurance for Kiwanis activities, and background check (if needed).
